What I will say might, I hope, create some debates around the table: Stripes are one of the easiest pattern to style when the temperatures rise a bit, or when you want them to be. They are a bit like a manifesting outlet, where you push yourself so far into the spring spirit, that it feels like a calling for it. So imagine this for a second, all of us, screaming help for a bit of sun, a bit of warmth, a bit of short sleeve and layering, eventually welcoming Spring and striiiiipes.

Stripes were actually given to the French sailors in the 19th century, who wore striped uniforms for practicality and visibility. Coco Chanel made the pattern a fashion point of view in the early 20th century, turning it from utilitarian to statement. By the 1970s, stripes became a symbol of rebellious style, embraced by punk rockers and pop culture icons. Today, stripes are considered to a neutral, for some, or point of view for others and overall a really good way to inject a bit of fun into an outfit.
The most important part of getting dressed with a print, is to demystify it from being a simple pattern, to a whole outfit kicker, or just making a really strong silhouette. The key is to decide whether it is your hero piece, or if you want it to almost feel like a non pattern - pattern, in your outfit. It can be settle, or strong, it depends on the size of the stripes, the colours, the fabric, the shape of the item, and what you want to do this with. The story you are making out of it.

Also styled, “a-la-de-fursac” with a bonnet, is deep inside what I have always wanted to get from Baby Henry - Since the one I have shared is a vintage Dries Van Noten one, sourced from a resale website, here is another other option which might suit the crowd better - only due to its availability !

Stripes styling doesn’t have to be too classic nor too quirky. It can be a non conversation or take up the whole stage. You are in charge.
